2008 Season

The JSA Office will be closed on July 24th and 25th.

It’s time to register for JSA 2nd Season!

2nd Season Coed Registration information can be found under the “Forms” link at the top of the page.  2nd Season runs from July 28 – August 22, 2008. This season works for those diehard players who just can’t get enough softball with a 16-game primary season, three local tournaments and up to ˝ dozen Southeast and Canadian tournaments. 2nd season also works for those that can’t find the time to play in the 1st season and/or want to keep in shape for fall tournaments in the lower 48. The short season is only 4 weeks long with just 8 games in doubleheader format weekly. Teams play once per week on the same night each week.

The registration fee is $250; there is no post season tournament or awards. This is a fun season for friends, families and those who need just a little more softball before the cold moves us back indoors.

Your team will consist of no less than 10 players (5 men/5 women) and up to as many as you want on the team. A player fee of $40 with a signed player agreement for each player must accompany your registration prior to players being allowed to play. If your team has players who played in the 1st season, another player agreement and fee is not necessary, but JSA will need to know who they played for in order to locate the player agreement.

Registration deadline: July 18, 2008.

Juneau Sports Association ANNOUNCES

MEN’S MASTERS SOFTBALL LEAGUE - STARTING JULY 28, 2008

A new league is being formed for 40+ Men who may be traveling to Sr. Softball tournaments in the fall or who just need a few more weeks of play before the “real” rains and winter blues set in. This is a short 12 game season to keep you in shape for fall tournaments. Sandy Williams, a member of USA Senior Softball, has helped JSA form their newest league and the rules differ slightly from traditional play.  Registration forms are available by clicking on the “Forms” link at the top of this page. If you don’t have a team, JSA will collect names and additional teams can be formed or you will be placed on an existing team. Deadline for registration is July 21, 2008. You must be a member of JSA by paying a player fee and filing a player agreement. Team registration fee is $225. Make checks payable to JSA.
